Change to On-The-Day appointments from 6th January 2020

Due to increased demands for on the day appointments, the GPs  have designed an improved system by which to manage this demand.

From 6.1.2020 you are asked to no longer queue at the desk to book an appointment. On the day appointments will only be bookable online or by telephone which will be triaged by a Doctor.  If you need an on the day appointment please telephone reception and expect to be called back by a Doctor during that day.

We thank you for your patience and understanding .

How Do I Make An Appointment? (Please see home page as the appointments have temporarily changed)

child_with_temperatureYou can make an appointment with the Doctor or Nurse by phoning the surgery between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. For routine/non urgent appointments please phone the surgery after 9.30am.

Appointments can also be made through Systmonline / NHS App, although these are restricted to GP telephone consultations at present as a precaution risk for the Coronavirus.

You have a right to express a preference of practitioner and we will do our best to give you an appointment with the Doctor of your choice.  Should your preferred Doctor not have a free appointment you will be offered an appointment with one of the other GPs in the practice.

You will never be refused to see a Doctor if one is available. If you no longer need your appointment please let us know.

Please remember that appointments are for ONE person only. If you feel your consultation may be lengthy, ask the Receptionist for a DOUBLE APPOINTMENT when you book.

Extended Surgery Access

The Practice provides extended surgery access on Tuesdays and Thursdays 7.00am to 8.00am and Wednesdays evenings 6:30pm - 7:30pm.

Urgent Appointments

If you need immediate treatment for a condition you feel needs urgent attention, telephone the Medical Centre before 09:30. Requests for urgent on the day appointments are not accepted in the afternoons.

Do you need an interpreter?

If so, please call or ask at Reception and we will be happy to help. This also includes sign language.

Wheelchair access can be made through the front door and the toilets are suitable for disabled patients. Designated parking is available.

The practice has limited parking designated for patients' use whilst attending the surgery. Abuse of this facility causes congestion, which could delay emergency services. Additional parking facilities are at the public car park off Maldon High Street. Parking in the access road to the practice is limited to designated spaces.

The car park is overseen by Car Park Management Service. Permits are required to park in the car park on every visit and can be obtained when attending the surgery/pharmacy by entering your registration number on the tablet in the reception areas.  Without a permit a parking fine will be issued.
